General information only
The guides, articles and answers on this Site are general information for homeowners and businesses in San Diego County. They are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a qualified technician.
The company that performs the restoration work
San Diego Water Damage Restoration is a call line that connects callers with a local water restoration company. It answers calls and online requests for water damage service and passes each one on. It does not extract water, dry buildings, assess damage, test for mold or carry out repairs. The local company that attends does that work and is alone accountable for its assessment, its scope, its pricing, its equipment and its workmanship.
No state license specific to water damage restoration was found in California. The Contractors State License Board issues the contractor license and the Hazardous Substance Removal Certification, which attaches to contractors holding classes A, B, C-12, C-21, C-36, C-57 or C-61/D-40. Whether a water damage job requires that certification is not confirmed here. No California license category specific to mold removal was found. Obligations for the work rest with the attending company, not with this website, which holds no license or certification of any kind and claims none.
The attending company's license number and classification are given on request by phone, or when it calls ahead of the visit. They are kept off this website to protect that company's private information. Verify any number you are given with the Contractors State License Board before reconstruction begins, and put questions about what a policy pays to your own insurer.

Prices are estimates
Price ranges are typical estimates for our service area in 2026. They are not quotes or offers. Your price is confirmed in person before any work starts.
Safety around water damage
Standing water can hide live electrical circuits: do not walk into a flooded room until power to that area is off. Sewage and floodwater (IICRC Category 3) can carry bacteria and viruses; keep children, pets and anyone with a weak immune system away, and do not handle contaminated materials without protection. Visible mold larger than a small patch should be assessed before anyone disturbs it. When in doubt, leave the area and call a professional.
Licensing, standards and insurance
Repair and reconstruction work in California is regulated by that state's contractor licensing board. The IICRC S500 (water damage) and S520 (mold remediation) standards are industry guidance, not government licenses. Insurance coverage is decided by your insurer under your policy; nothing on this Site is a promise of coverage or of a claim outcome, and information here is a summary, not legal or insurance advice.
